Is your Audi losing coolant, intake of unregulated air or allowing water into the cabin? The cause may be a damaged hose, pipe, connector or seal.

At Donkers VAG Parts, you will find genuine used hoses, pipes, rubber parts and body seals for Audi models. The parts come from vehicles dismantled in-house. This means information about the donor vehicle, engine version and original mounting position is often available.

Hoses and pipes in the engine compartment

The engine compartment contains hoses and pipes for cooling, charge air, vacuum, oil, fuel and air conditioning. Their shape and connections often differ by engine code and vehicle specification.

Depending on current stock, this category may include:

  • coolant hoses;
  • charge-air hoses and connecting pipes;
  • vacuum pipes;
  • crankcase ventilation pipes;
  • oil pipes;
  • power-steering pipes;
  • air-conditioning pipes;
  • fuel lines;
  • quick-release connectors and fittings.

A hissing noise may point to a vacuum or charge-air leak. Coolant traces may come from a split hose, damaged connector or worn sealing ring.

A pipe can look almost identical while following a different route or using another connection. An extra branch, different angle or changed diameter may be enough to prevent installation.

Compare the complete part number, routing and connection points before ordering.

Door, window and body seals

Body seals keep water, dirt and wind noise outside the vehicle. If a seal dries out, tears or loses its shape, moisture may enter the cabin or luggage compartment.

This category may include:

  • door seals;
  • tailgate and boot-lid seals;
  • bonnet seals;
  • window guides and seals;
  • cable grommets and wiring boots;
  • body sealing strips.

Longer seals are usually specific to the body style and mounting position. A seal from an Avant will not normally fit a Saloon, Sportback or Convertible.

Left- and right-hand parts may also differ, as can front and rear positions.

Checking the cause of a leak

Water in the cabin does not always come from a visible door seal. Blocked drains, damaged window guides or leaking cable grommets may produce similar symptoms.

A light oil film around a charge-air hose does not automatically mean that the hose has failed. The connection, clamp and surrounding pipework should also be checked for cracks or movement.

Inspect the complete system before replacing one part.

Seals, clips and fitting parts

Used hoses and pipes may still be serviceable while their old O-rings or clips are not.

Where required, replace sealing rings, clips and retaining parts during installation. Reusing a compressed or damaged seal may cause a leak even when the replacement hose or pipe is in good condition.

For pressurised systems, check that all connectors lock correctly and that the pipe is not twisted or under tension after installation.

Finding the correct part

Before ordering, check:

  • the complete Audi part number, including the suffix;
  • engine code and engine output;
  • body style;
  • mounting position and vehicle side;
  • pipe routing and connector shape;
  • diameter and any additional branches;
  • donor vehicle details where available.

The Audi model name alone is rarely enough to confirm compatibility. Vehicles from the same model range may use different pipes or seals because of their engine, body style or equipment.

Looking for a coolant hose, charge-air pipe, fuel line or body seal for your Audi? Start by comparing the complete part number and physical shape. If you are unsure, send us the vehicle identification number and photographs of the existing part and mounting position. We can then check which version may be suitable for your vehicle.
